Juan Ariel Henriquez
-- better known in the artistic world as AJ FLOW.
He was born in La Vega on July 27, 1983, and grew in Caimito,
San Francisco De Macoris in the Dominican Republic.
He began his studies in the
rural school of Caimito. During this time, he developed
his love for sports, particularly Track and Field. Years
later he decided to travel with his parents to the capital,
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Soon after, AJ FLOW's
family travelled to the United States in search
of the American Dream where he continued training in his
favorite sports, Olympic Fighting and Track and Field. At
the age of 14, AJ FLOW travelled to Puerto Rico representing
the United States Olympic Fighting Team as one of the most
outstanding sportsmen of the country.
During his triumphant return, after having obtained
several medals of recognition, AJ FLOW decided to enter
into the Music Industry as a percussionist. Since AJ FLOW's
childhood, he had a passion for music. This contributed
to his decision of retiring from the Olympics to dedicate
himself to music.
AJ FLOW began to look at the music in a different light; no longer as a pastime, but as a goal in life. AJ FLOW also played with other groups in the Bachata genre such as Pablo Bachata, Future Group, the Pimps, Secret Group among others.
In 2005, AJ FLOW started his
career as a soloist and began recording various songs in
the Reggaeton genre and two videos. With these songs, he
travelled throughout the United States and the Dominican
Republic, In obtaining this much success, this young man
was contracted to participate in the most important festivals
of the United States in cities such as Boston, Connecticut,
Providence, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC and New York.
