Big Noise is proud to release the Anniversary Edition of Rhode Island Bandwagon's recording 'Three Sides of Hunger.' This is the first time the classic album is available on CD.

The new Anniversary Edition of 'Three Sides of Hunger' features all three original tracks completely remastered plus complete demos, live versions, and instrumentals.

Originally released in 1986, 'Three Sides of Hunger,' along with the organization's two sold-out benefit concerts, won Bandwagon the coveted Jefferson Award from The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Foundation for Recognition of Outstanding Public Service.

Bandwagon's goal was to elevate awareness of the plight of the poor in New England and raise money for those New England agencies that aid the hungry and homeless.

Inspired by Bob Geldof's 1985 'Live Aid' concert and Band Aid recording, Providence producer and songwriter Al Gomes wanted to put together a similar effort to aid those less fortunate in Rhode Island. Gomes founded Bandwagon in 1986 (along with producer Jamie Kurtis), and executive produced the recording 'Three Sides of Hunger,' and the two televised concerts.

'Three Sides of Hunger' features three songs (co-written by Gomes) performed by the most popular recording artists in the area including Mark Cutler with multi-platinum artist John Cafferty ('Where Home Is' which also features jazz great Dan Moretti), Jim Beaupre of The Probers ('Surrender to Serenity'), and 'A Piece of Our Hearts' which features soloists including legendary singer-songwriter Cheryl Wheeler and Belly and L7's Gail Greenwood plus a 150-person celebrity choir consisting of musicians, journalists (including VH1 executive producer Bill Flanagan), broadcasters, politicians, and service agency heads.

'Three Sides of Hunger' was produced by multi-platinum producers Phil Greene and Tom Soares (New Kids On the Block, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, Joey McIntyre), and mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen (Norah Jones, Billy Joel, Rolling Stones).

The Anniversary Edition CD also features the long out-of-print second Bandwagon release, the Rash of Stabbings EP 'A Christmas Song,' which featured the title track and 'Mr. Avery.'
