Dexter Porter is a jazz and
standards vocalist originally from Eatonton, GA. and is
presently living in Weehawken, NJ. "My sound is soothing,
classic jazz vocals with a touch of gospel music."
Dexter began with pianist David Marck to develop a repertoire
of standards to perform in such notable nightclubs as Windows
on the World Restaurant, Birdland Jazz Club, The Triad,
and at Nell's. Also, Porter has performed privately for
Barbra Walters, Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Liz Smith, Regis Philbin,
Starr Jones, and many other celebrities. Porter believes
that it is important to keep a true American form of music,
jazz, alive.
