Like a raging inferno, Rhode Island
rocker Ed Fishell ignites the stage.
With his smoky vocals and blazing hot guitar licks, Fishell's
spirit shines through his music. Tuned at a young age to
the greats Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore and Neil Young,
Ed feels he was born to rock.
He got his first guitar at the age of 16, but recalls
ripping air guitar solos on a broomstick to "While My Guitar
Gently Weeps" as a young boy. He went to play with local
heavies Blue Earth, Jungle Dogs, Shiver, and Orange Whip
- cutting his teeth at clubs like CBGB's, Ocean Mist, Lupo's,
and The Elbow Room. Now a seasoned musician, Fishell looks
to put his own ideas and reflections down with his first
set of solo recordings.
The tunes range from guitar-heavy numbers like "Dusted"
and "I Can't Feel You" to the more vocally-driven catchy
anthems like "Me and You" and "Chokechain." The songs also
feature an array of guest musicians playing anything from
lapsteel guitar to horns and mandolin - there is even a
cello solo in there for good measure. The result is an eclectic
