Actress-Singer Makeda Tene'is breaking down barriers between various
musical genres. Comfortable singing in five different languages,
she is a crossover artist who moves effortlessly between
Spiritual and Classical styles. Makeda received a BFA in
acting from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City,
and also graduated Summa Cum Laud with a Masters Degree
in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Makeda has been featured as a Guest Vocalist performing
worldwide, and has shared the stage with notable music greats
such as Byron Cage, Ron Kenoly, Nancy Wilson and Deniece
Williams.
During Verizon Wireless' 'How Sweet The Sound' National
Gospel Competition, Marvin Sapp noted that Makeda's voice,
'reminds me a of a young Kathleen Battle singing in the
