Bio:Totally blind pianist/keyboard player, songwriter, producer, music director, recording artist, and owner and founder of Verdict Records, Rod Clemmons is taking his place in the music industry.
An Arkansas native, Rod began his musical studies
at the age of four beginning with drums. He quickly moved
on to piano and was trained as a classical pianist winning
competitions in high school until he graduated from the
Arkansas School for the Blind in Little Rock. Attending
the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music,
he completed an under-graduate degree in classical piano
performance with honors. From there he moved on to the cities
Louisville KY and New York where he developed his skills
as a keyboard player and producer-arranger. Rod developed
his production company and record label Verdict Records
and became one of the most sought-after producers and keyboard
players in the industry.
Clemmons has now completed and released his debut
contemporary R&B and Neo Soul album, 'What's Up? It's Me.'
The album is receiving much acclaim from critics in the
industry. His first single, the title track, is now climbing
the top 200 FMQB radio singles chart each week, and the
video of the song is gaining momentum.
